Our more than 700 experts and staff work closely with leaders to turn big ideas into action to sustain our natural resources—the foundation of economic opportunity and human well-being. PROJECT

Climate Watch will launch just prior to COP23 (the 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Climate Change) in October/November 2017. As part of a launch package, several blogs will be written highlighting some of our data. We would like some interactive visuals as below to accompany these blogs.

Examples of desired visuals can be found here. Examples are just for inspiration, so please feel free to design any type of visualization you think is suitable. You can choose one or more than one topic to visualize, but please keep visualizations separate

  • Carbon emission by country:
    • The audience will be able to see how countries emitted carbon.
  • Filling up the world carbon budget:
    • Global emission slowly are filling up a confined space - the carbon budget to keep emission below 2°C. The audience would see a time animation, starting from the industrial revolution and bubbles will fly in - color coded by countries. These will fill up a circle (the budget) up half by 2011. The audience will be able to see how emission are expected to rise if now new policies are enacted and that we will most likely overflow the space by 2045. Example here
  • Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) linkages:
