Chloe Tseng
A recent MBA grad from Stanford University, Chloe based in the US, has worked as a Senior Data Analyst previously where she turned complex statistics and data into a story to drive business decisions. Chloe loves visualizing data to increase awareness of social issues, and founded Viz for Social Good, a nonprofit that empowers mission-driven organizations to harness the power of data visualization for social change.
Under her guidance Viz for Social Good has been named a finalist in the Fast Company's 2018 World Changing Ideas Awards and was awarded a Silver at the 2017 Information is Beautiful Awards.
As our Chairwoman, Chloe sets the overall vision for VFSG helping define the strategy executed by the board of directors in addition to the appointment of the board.
Vanitha Lucas
Based in Canada, Vanitha considers herself to be a data and analytics philanthropist. Strongly believing in the power of data and analytics to serve the greater good; she is dedicating herself to raising awareness and influencing change on societal issues. With a career in developing data strategies, delivering enterprise data management solutions and enabling business intelligence and analytics to drive business outcomes.
Having been part of the VFSG team for a number of years in roles within Marketing, Community and Operations, Vanitha has now taken on the role of co-Executive Director to help define and drive the overall strategy of VFSG in the pursuit of supporting worthy causes around the globe.
David Pires
David is based in the UK, where he’s the Head of Data Visualisation leading a team of data visualization engineers. Having spent most of his career in analytics in a variety of roles, between benchmarking and consulting working in a wide range of industries.
Part of the VFSG team for a number of years where he’s worked on partnerships as well as sourcing new non-profits for VFSG to support and collaborate with, David is now a co-Executive Director to help define and drive the overall strategy of VFSG in the pursuit of supporting worthy causes around the globe.
Neil Richards
Neil is based in the UK, a three time Tableau Zen Master and Tableau Public ambassador he has a love of data visualization a passion for teaching and sharing his broad knowledge. Previously the Knowledge Director of Visualisation Society where he helped create a wide and engaged community, Neil has also been part of VSFG since its start, as a regular contributor but also in previous roles in Community and Marketing.
As Director of Editorial Neil is the external voice of VFSG, through, case studies, thought pieces and media contributions in collaboration with marketing and partnerships teams.
Charlene Mitchell
Charlene based in the US, devotes her time to cultivating relationships and fostering collaboration. Certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt, she excels at leading strategic design and implementation of programs and products that align with stakeholder goals.
New to the VFSG team Charlene has taken the role of Director of Inclusion and Diversity to help us identify current culture, mission, vision and values. Partner with peers to establish strategic collaboration in an effort to address practices that impact diversity and inclusion as well as collect data to benchmark VFSG demographics and practices in comparison to socio-geo landscape as unveiled by competitive intelligence.
Frederic Fery
Frederic is based in Australia, an analyst in the Public Health Sector he’s been part of the data visualization community for many years.
Frederic has been key to identify non-profits and other organisations in Australia and really the driving force of our community down under.
Having been part of the Operations team for the past year, Frederic has now become our VFSG Director of Operations focusing on the running of projects while partnering with Marketing and the Strategy teams on planning, project data and hosting of project-related events.
Amanda Patist
Amanda is a Data Experience Designer in the Netherlands, helping people learn best practices in data visualization as well as building up an internal data community.
Having been part of VFSG since its start, Amanda has been key to growing the awareness of VFSG through hackathons and speaking events such as the Tableau Conference in Berlin.
As the VFSG Director of Community, Amanda focuses on engaging, motivating and growing the volunteer community through Regional Leads. She partners with Marketing and Operations to promote projects, publications and events through social media and develops the strategy for VFSG’s volunteer experience.
Nisa Marques
With a background in health and data and analytics, Nisa based in the UK has seen first-hand that enabling and inspiring others to elevate their capabilities can bring transformational improvements to the talent and prosperity of the institutions, communities and businesses. Through her work at the Viz for Social Good over the last five years, she has led chapter leaders across the globe, supporting new communities and projects. As part of the Partnership Committee, she has also forged new partnerships that enriched the opportunities for all volunteers and supported institutions.
Her work has led her to increasingly focus on analytics education and social impact as a path to meaningful change. As the VFSG Director of Education, Nisa shapes and approves the non-profit educational strategies, reviews results, and sets the overall educational direction of the Viz for Social Good.
Mindy Friedman
Mindy is a Director of Social Impact based in the US. An innovative impact evaluator and data scientist with diverse expertise in evaluation design, strategic planning, needs assessments, capacity building, community engagement, and facilitation. She has more than 10 years of experience working with nonprofit and public agencies in an array of fields including child development, maternal health, strengthening families, mental health, and health care systems and services.
Within VFSG, Mindy has previously been a key part of our efforts to secure a non-profit status within the US which has led to her current appointment as the Director of Strategy. Mindy will continue to advise on legal matters related to VFSG, maintaining our status and overall direction on the impact of decisions proposed by the board. In addition Mindy and her team will be key to identify other non=profits for VFSG to partner with on a regular basis.
